Usually when you do a pre-order the company has a set number they expect to get. EE just over sells pre-orders. I assume they do it in case someone cancels. It is just bad form.

i learned my lesson years ago not to use toys n joys anymore! its been a while now, but way back when i tried to order something from them, that they were out of apparently w/o showing out of stock. so i had to buy something else cuz i already paid for it and they took forever to give me back my money. they got the next order wrong as well, cuz something i ordered was out of stock (they took it upon themselves to replace it w/ something i've never heard of). so i said F YOU!! lol
