The DFW G.I. Joe & Action Figure Show 2014 invades the Metroplex on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4-5, at the Grapevine Convention Center.
Enthusiasts from across the United States come to browse one of the largest action figure shows in Texas. The expo features more than 1,800 square feet of dealer space, featuring action figures and accessories – both vintage and new. Collectors track down rare pieces and uncover an arsenal of fun and fascinating toys, including G.I. Joe, Star Wars figures, Marvel Comic Figures, and many more.
Noted cartoon writer and story editor, Buzz Dixon will be in attendance, hosting a Q&A Session where attendees learn about his years working on the G.I. Joe, Thundarr the Barbarian, and other hit animated cartoons of the past. Comic book artists Tom Feister and Will Rosado will also be at the show, talking to fans, and signing work they’ve done for Marvel, DC, and IDW Comics.
The 501st Legion, The Fightin’ 788th, and other Costuming Clubs will entertain Star Wars, G.I. Joe, and Star Trek fans with their character portrayal and amazing costumes, from Darth Vader, to Snake Eyes, to Mister Spock. Military and historical enthusiasts can visit and talk to WWII Re-Enactors and view/photograph various military vehicles that will be on display outside the Convention Center.
