Batman was setting in his cave. Spilling over the most recent data from the computer scanner. All of it confirming what he thought. Another alien race has appeared on Earth. Though these readings seem a bit, different about them. Scans seem to point that they are able to change shape.

He has dealt with shapeshifting before. But this was something else. They seem to be able to change into a form that allows them to 'hide' in plain sight. And seem to be metallic in nature. Also, they vary in size. Everything from the size of a smartphone to as big as a building. Some larger.

Batman got up, hopped in the Batwing and flew out to the last location he had on record. Being the great detective the he is, it didn't take long for him to track them. They might be able to 'hide' in plain sight, but they are not invisible. While observing, he noticed that there is at least two distinct groups. And those groups are pretty organized. Each having a leader. However, to make matters worse, they seem to be at war with each other.

While not in Gotham yet, he knows that it would only be a matter of time. Before their battling (Civil War?) makes it to his city.

Rushing back with what data he gathered, he contacted Lucius Fox to develop a batsuit prototype. One that he could wear and be able to at lease be able to face this possible new threat.
