I have been a fan of King for over 25 years. I know he is not "the god of horror", but what I love about his stories is the in depth character development. The directors of his movies that understand that made fantastic film versions(The Shinning, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Stand by Me, ect). You grow feelings for the characters (good or bad), that draws you into their world.
