Friday the 13th VII - This is such a weird movie. It has an interesting idea, what would it be like to see Jason take on a telekinetic, and yet, it does so little with it in terms of execution and plot. That just flat out ruins it as none of these characters are there to be anything more than canonfodder. Yes, that sounds weird, as most of the time, the characters are there to die, but at least the previous movies try to make you want to see one or two of them survive. Here, none of them are worth saving, even Tina as she is just a freaking idiot. It does have some great kill scenes though but I think even Jason was tired of it. I do love how much battle damage Jason was shown to have on both his mask and on his face, so that was nicely done. Nevertheless, I just don't give a crap about the characters, which is where this movie ultimately falls flat. Another thing that seems strange is how the name went back to Crystal Lake after being Forest Green for several years. Did they just decide to own up to it? And why would anyone want to still live there? Overall, I give it 4 points as a movie, but I'll give it one more point for its awesome music, so it gets a 5/10 stars.
