There is a price hike every year, it's inevitable. Personally, I like that the higher price point has weeded out alot of the kids they may have been appealing to back when they were under $10. There is a clearly defined collecter's market that they are being forced to appeal to in order to sell their products. I pay $45+ for SH Figuarts figures because they have accessories, extra heads, hands and are extremely well made. Half of that for almost as many accessories with some of the figures and comparable articulation seems fair to me.
Action figure collecting in my adult life has been a constant case of putting my money where my mouth is. If I want something bad enough, I don't question the MSRP. I'll even pay a premium for it. When someone says "$20 is too much for any Marvel Legend figure" I think "Good, more for me." I've been paying $25-30 for some of the ML figures I have gone after from resellers, so the more people who bail out because they don't want to spend that much, the more of a chance I or anybody else have to not have to pay a mark up for the figures they aren't buying because of $3. I welcome it, so long as they give me a reason to pay more, and in this series, they definitely have.
