If it weren't for the glaring absence of a Galen Marek figure among my Star Wars collection, I probably would have passed on this guy.
I never saw the Vintage Collection version of him (and I'm still annoyed by that, lol), but I certainly believe all of the reviews that I've read that claim that that version is FAR superior to the re-released one, largely due to the shoddy QC and sloppy paint that seem to be common on this version.
While I was lucky enough to spot four Starkillers on the pegs at my local TRU, none of them had what I would consider to be a good paint job. I grabbed one that had tolerable blemishes that could easily be fixed.
I'm glad to finally have a Starkiller, but frankly, I wish I had picked up one of the earlier versions of him.
EDIT: A couple of dabs of paint around his collar cleared up the over-spray issue, and when he's in his armor, that area is covered anyways, so crisis averted.
Overall, not a bad figure, for anyone else who still needs/wants him, but again, if you already have Starkiller, this version is definitely an easy pass.
