Testing out my new smartphone camera, and I thought I'd share shots of this. For those of you who don't already know, the Batpod model that came with a special collector's edition of "The Dark Knight" Blu-ray happens to be close to scale for 4" action figures.
--The tires of the Batpod model are only slightly larger than that of the front tires of the Mattel Tumbler toy for the 4" figures. So displayed together, the Batpod looks like it could come from the Tumbler.
--The tires are a very hard rubber pulled over a plastic wheel.
--Each tire has a plastic nub poking through with a screw hole in it; this is how the Batpod model is screwed onto the display base. Otherwise, the wheels themselves do rotate 360 degrees. So it would be possible to file down these nubs.
--None of the Mattel 4" Batman figures can be posed to sit on this Batpod model, of course.* In these photos, I took a Microman Batman 4" figure to seat on the Batpod.
* - The exception may be the 4" Batman that comes with the Attack Armor Bat-Pod toy, which was designed to be seated forward.
--Overall, this Blu-ray collector's version of the Batpod looks better than the version Mattel released in relation to their 4" figure TDK/TDKR line (Attack Armor Bat-Pod). It complements the Mattel Tumbler much better.
