I'm bummed I couldn't add the guardians to the avengers amd cinematic lines.
I typically try to keep them all around the same scale. I don't really buy the legends lines. Off the top of my head it's mostly the 3.75" figures of movies and comic figures. So marvel and dc. Power rangers since they released the legendary reds and 6th rangers I'm hoping they'll release the rest of the Rangers in the same scale.
I'd say I collect marvel figures universe and movie figures, DC multiverse and animated looking batman ones, Star Wars, doctor who, Lord of the rings, power rangers, Spider-Man (if they are good.), some gi joes, transformers, tmnt. Not sure how much more.
I hope they don't cancel the marvel universe line. Though it has a lot of characters come out I feel like there is still a good amount they could and should do. I am just now seeing the black boxed ones coming around. I shouldn't of had passed on ant man.
When I mentioned the cancellation of the 3.75" line...I was referring to the 3.75" Avengers 2 figures (which fall into scale with most Marvel Universe figures) and not the Marvel Universe line itself. The rumor there is that the 3.75" Avengers 2 line has been downsized into the 2.5" line. The common belief over this stems over a Quinjet prototype toy that was shown off at either NYCC or SDCC, which was in a noticeably different scale than the Quinjet that debuted with the original 3.75" Avengers line.
I would like to think that the Marvel Universe line is still going strong, however the line has been up and down over the past few years, having been re-branded several times, and distribution of them (at least in my town) still sucks. Finding these in the stores has been rather difficult and no one is fessin up who to blame (Target and TRU blame Hasbro, while Hasbro turns around and blames them.) Who knows what lies ahead in the future as companies look to go cheaper and raise profits....but at least MU is still here for now.
