Sad news comes to us regarding Europe's largest Transformers convention, Auto Assembly. It has been announced that
Auto Assembly 2015 will be the last ever Auto Assembly
.
Founded in 2000, with its first convention held on 22 October 2000, Auto Assembly's first convention attracted just 31 guests, but the years that followed saw the convention bloom into the largest Transformers convention in Europe. What started out as a one-day event became a full weekend event, over the years playing host to the likes of David Kaye, Garry Chalk, Scott McNeil, Townsend Coleman, Sumalee Montano, Gregg Berger, Dan Gilvezan and many more - a veritable who's who of Transformers talent, to say nothing of the many artists and creators who have also attended over the years.
The reasons for drawing Auto Assembly to a close are nothing sinister, but merely the most human reasons of all. Faced with increasingly busy daily lives, and other concerns, the team has decided not to compromise on the quality of the conventions, but to go out on a high note with what they hope will be the biggest and best Auto Assembly yet.
The final Auto Assembly will be held at the
Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, England, on 21st - 23rd August 2015
. Join us in seeing out Europe's largest Transformers convention with a bang!
