Hot Toys are high quality dolls. Change their clothes and brush their hair. Sure they look great but take up a LOAD of space and you usually only get movie figures. SH figures are nice but there are not many comic ones. So it depends on your definition of realism. Is it a Hulk that looks like his first appearance or one that looks exactly like Mark Ruffalo? To me I like to have several characters, so the normal lines suit me best. I am 3.75" collector through and through. I like vehicles and dioramas, something you can't get in other scales.

Whatever way you go and which ever path you choose...... You will look back and laugh (or cry) when you thought you could budget it to fifty bucks a month!!!!! These toys are like crack. Your collection will never be enough. It will never end. You will buy things to only put them in tubs away in an attic. It is an insane amount of time and energy searching them out, researching the past, present and future of your chosen line. The displaying, the posing and reposing because of falls, and the dust..... My god the dust.

If you were smart you would not open Pandoras Box and run away while you still can...... Don't say you weren't warned!!!

If you choose to stay..... Decide just what scale you are willing to commit to. Factor in size and display cases and shelving options. 1/6 scale 1/12 scale 1/18 scale are your common options. Some fall in between and some aren't true to the actual scale. I think you already know what you want. Go with your gut. It is also nice collecting the "normal" lines as you stated because you can find them and pick between a few of them. It is fun to pose them, but if there is no one to fight then why pose them?
