That's how I look at them. Not terribly interested in the $20 sets or the newer characters in that style, but I did pick up the new Luke in X-Wing Pilot Fatigues because it reminded me of my very first Star Wars toy: the original version that I got waaaay back in 1979.

Not everyone. I'd actually prefer the Armada version (if I could find either one), since I'd like to have someone stand next to Arm. Starscream and Hotshot.
I will say the silver version looks great in robot mode but the alt. mode is way too bright for a tank (imho). I much prefer the dark green of Armada version and the robot mode is still pretty decent with the remolding.
