We're leading off now with the next of the Combiner Wars Protectobots - and the first of the four recently-released Wave 3 Deluxes! Deluxe Wave 3 brings in the four limbs of the Protectobot combiner, Defensor, and we proudly bring you this gallery of
First Aid
!
First Aid is a heavy remold of the Decepticon, Offroad. By "heavy remold" we mean "the basic toy is the same, but everything about it has been changed up". It's a really nice way to reuse the design but also give First Aid the distinct identity he deserves. Both modes are solid and look great - and there's lots of channels molded in the surface of the robot mode parts, reflecting Alex Milne's designs for First Aid in the More than Meets the Eye comic. As with Offroad, the poseability is excellently done, and the remolding on First Aid does little to hamper the range of movement that this mold presents.
Overall, First Aid is a really well done Autobot. There is a lot of personality in the design, and he will likely fit into any collection, either as a part of the Protectobots, or with the crew of the Lost Light. Check out our gallery to admire this one for yourselves:
