The
schedule for Botcon 2015
has now been made available. For those attending (and those following our coverage at home) you might want to take a look at this.
The key panels for news are on Saturday. Saturday 20 June from Noon-12:50 is the ubiquitous Hasbro Product Preview panel (aka, new shinies for you to put money aside for!). That's followed the same day at 3:00-3:50 with the Transformers Collectors’ Club Roundtable, where we just might see some 2016 fan club exclusives! Notably, neither IDW for Transformers comics or Hasbro Studios for the cartoons are represented, so guess for those, we're waiting for SDCC.
There's also plenty more panels for those attending to check out. There's a "Behind the characters" session with Derrick Wyatt on the Friday, along with a "Birth of Transformers" panel, where we're hoping Kojin Ono might share some of his experience in creating the earliest toys that would become Transformers. Saturday brings us a G1 retrospective panel and a panel about the Japanese perspective, along with a panel about the online Transformers Fandom. Sunday has a panel about the art of Transformers, along with a script reading titled "The Return of Blurr", featuring the talents of Susan Blu,
John Moschitta, Frank Todaro & friends.
It's all in all a nice and varied convention panel selection, with more than just toys to look forward to. We hope all who are attending take the time to embrace the opportunity offered by these panels - and share their thoughts and feedback on our 2005 boards!
Botcon 2015 is taking place in the Pheasant Run resort, in St. Charles, Illinois, over the weekend of 19-21 June. To find out more and pre-register, head on over to
