Deadline
, which seems to be the go-to source regarding recent announcements regarding the
Transformers Cinematic Universe
of sequels, prequels and spin-offs, has just announced two more writers that have been added to the writer's room headed by
Akiva Goldsman
. The new additions are
Ken Nolan
(
Black Hawk Down
) and
Geneva Robertson-Dworet
. These new writers join the previously announced team of
Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, Zak Penn, Jeff Pinkner, Robert Kirkman, Christina Hodson, Lindsey Beer, Andrew Barrer, and Gabriel Ferrari
.
Akiva Goldsman also explains some of the reasoning behind this writer's room in the article, so check out the link above to read what he has to say. In one paragraph he even mentions
Beast Wars
as something that could be explored:
“If one of the writers discovers an affinity for Beast Wars, they can drive forward on treatments that will have been fleshed out by the whole room,” Goldsman said.
Only time will tell if a spin-off featuring the Maximals and Predacons of Beast Wars will become a reality, but the possibility is mentioned by Mr. Goldsman himself! It appears that they are considering many options for future films.
