I've been able to nab their exclusives the last two years off of the NECA Club website that they posted in the press release with nearly no problems. I just checked it now, and you can tell they are in the process of working on it, as they have added an SDCC 2015 section (although there is nothing inside at the moment.)
As for the releases in the random Hastings and TRU across the country, there are no Hasting's stores near where I live, and the TRUs here are flat out terrible since they are small and share space with Babies R' Us. Releasing to random stores is not fun or exciting NECA...it's fricken stressful. Do not kid yourselves.
As long as I can get my head on the Jason/Pamela two pack, and Ambush Predator...I will be a happy man. Thankfully Jason/Pamela is releasing in MEGO form, a general search online will show that not many fans were happy about that, so hopefully this will translate to the two pack not selling out the second it goes up.
That said...the price jump to 30 dollars for Ambush Predator came as a shock to me. With Predator being one of the primary lines that I collect, another price jump like that and NECA will end up pricing me out of collecting them altogether. Ahab and Albino were priced around 25 bucks if I remember correctly...putting Ambush at 30 seems unnecessary, especially when there are nearly no paint apps on the figure and uses an already existing mold. Not only does the price bump seem unnecessary, but it's gonna feed the already insane secondary market for these things.
