This Custom Volstagg figure was made on the cheap. A lot of people use the Blob BAF or the ML Kingpin figure as a base for Volstagg customs, but I didn't want to spend too much money on a figure that I very well might have ruined. So I got on ebay and kitbashed a couple of different WWE figures together. Most of the WWE figures I have bought seem to have pretty standard sized ball pegs and sockets so it makes them easier to customize, plus they are relatively inexpensive and easy to find. They are usually a little bigger than most Marvel Legends figures which makes them fit in better as Asgardians or other taller characters. I shaved off the laces on the front of his boots and sculpted the boot cuffs. I sculpted the glove cuffs and the wrinkles at his wrists. His shirt tail is 4 small rectangular pieces of vinyl that I glued onto his waist and I sculpted the belt over the top edges. I sculpted the puffy things on his shoulders too. I sculpted his helmet and the hair on his temples, around the back of his head and gave him a bigger, curled-up mustache. He's been completely repainted from head to toe with acrylic paints except for his eyeballs and his exposed teeth. I was going to drybrush the tunic with a light pink to make him more accurate to the comics, but I actually like the Deep Red/Wine color better. The streamers on the top of his helmet are gold colored twist ties and his sword came in two parts with He-Man & Skeletor figures.
