Extremis is my favorite armor because this is the first armor when Tony Stark injects himself with a mix of Extremis virus & nanobots, transcending himself in becoming more than a normal human. In fact, at end of movie Iron Man 3 Stark throws away the mini-ture arc reactor, this Extremis version of Iron Man armor shall be his next, namely what he has become and shall appear as in "Avengers 2 Age of Ultron".
Anyways, too bad that the Marvel Universe 3.75 inch version of Extremis Iron Man has very limited articulation. Don't get me wrong, the MU version is amongst one of most popular and well-liked figure of MU. But just not giving this armor the full extend of highlight and respect it deserves. So I decided to ask Ariel Custom to make one.
This base figure's articulation shall be top of the line, amongst any 4-inch action figures on market. Stark's head was from MU Reed Richard with paint job. Base treated with Surface Primer (Twin Star) to ensure consistent Paint adhesion to figure. Spent a lot of hours on layers and layers of paint job, and illustrating all details lines. Then post-finishing spray to ensure "play-ability" without paint chipping off. Lastly, I sprayed a layer of matt finishing because Extremis armor is not made of regular shiny surface metal (as per comic).
