I generally dislike the build-a-figure concept. It's a good value for completist collectors, but no one else. I would prefer buying deluxe sets for larger figures or figures with large accessories, like Ghost Rider with his Hellcycle. I hate store exclusive waves because they always seem hard to find, so I would do away with them. I think that Hasbro should include a Greatest Hits or All-Star figure with each wave. They could reissue popular, older figures with each wave to cater to kids and newer collectors who were late to the party. The All-Star figures wouldn't include Build-a-figure parts so long- time collectors wouldn't feel pressure to buy doubles of figures they already own. Toy companies always site new tooling costs as a big challenge, so this would be relatively inexpensive for Hasbro. I think Hasbro has access to all the old Toy Biz molds too, so they could just reissue figures like the Hank Pym Ant-Man, Face-Off Hulk and Face-Off Cap to capitalize on the character's' current popularity. Collectors complain about getting so many versions of Iron Man and Wolverine and so on, but those figures are usually recognizable to kids and they don't really clog the pegs like Machine Man, Hellcat and Anti-Venom are. I'd also like to see Hasbro include figure stands and flight stands with figures.
