Like my Custom She-Hulk or I will come to your house and rip up all of your X-Men Comics! Ha! Ha!
I've been a big She-Hulk fan ever since I read Dan Slott's run a few years ago. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to pick up any of the ML She-Hulks for a good price and she isn't represented in my collection yet. I was planning on using the ML Lyra as a base for a custom, but she's one of those figures that slipped through the cracks and never saw release. Obviously I would like to have a regular version of She-Hulk in her typical superhero costume, but I thought this would be a fun, easy custom that can tide me over until I get a more proper She-Hulk figure.
The base figure is a WWE figure I found a while back. She was only $10 so I bought her without really knowing what I would use her for. I decided to use her for She-Hulk because Jen often practices law in her She-Hulk persona and the height and build of this figure seemed like a good fit for the character.
I cut off the figure's earrings and repainted her face and chest first. Then I painted the hands and exposed skin on her feet. Finally, I sculpted on some bigger, more poofy bangs and even included the wisp of hair in front as a nod to the way John Byrne drew her in his Sensational She-Hulk run. I painted her hair black and drybrushed it with a couple different shades of green. The base figure had pretty decent articulation and my custom retains all of it. now I just need to find a tiny briefcase for her to carry. Thanks for looking!
