I also felt like the comedy and jokes were rightfully placed as well, it is meant to be campy so if the CGI is bad to overshow a river of blood flowing from someones head it felt like it was intentional, more than bad CGI if that makes any sense.
As I previously noted, Starz's previous big show (Spartacus) also had pretty weak and abundant CGI blood early in the show but it got a lot better as the show progressed and the budget seemed to increase. Bad CGI or no, I'm sticking with AvED all the way.
