If we're going the Kik route I've made a quick guide. I'm not including downloading the app for obvious reasons.

1. Click the magnifying glass at the bottom right corner.



2. Search for #NJCCAttendees on the search menu. You must put the #



3. Join the group and you're in.

Also, for those of you who already know your way around Kik you can just scan the Kik code:
