Kenner (and some other lesser known companies) did make some great R-rated licenses into kids toys, as was the norm back in the day. Make a movie for adults and market it to kids, that's just how it was and there was less concern of what licenses got made into toys which were only for kids back then since no adult-collectibles companies really existed. Kenner was awesome like that, Hasbro less so. Hasbro has never made a product for an R-rated license and technically makes very little marketed to serious collectors. Hasbro's only "adult" collector things that I can think of are like the Transformers Masterpiece figures, kind of the Black Series for Star Wars (but those are still totally playable for kids too), and that limited release Cloverfield toy they made. Basically Hasbro is too kid-friendly and family-safe oriented to attach themselves to a movie that's rated R. Diamond Select though has no such feelings and I hope they do make a Deadpool movie figure.
