They're NOT dolls!

This is a rather special find. While not exactly 'action figures', I guess it fits up there with the 12" scale figures.
My Grandmother passed last year and this past weekend we went to clear out her storage that was on her property that was being rented.
My Grandmother was a doll maker. She had her own copyrights as well as hundreds of molds. She taught doll making classes and even I, yes, made a few dolls in my younger years.
She was also a collector and had many Barbie and other collectable dolls from over the years.
Well I remember the year the Michael Jackson dolls came out and I was like ... 11 years old? Well she bought me one and a few for herself. I wanted the 'Thriller' version and she got the others in the series. The past few years I kept asking her where these MJ dolls were and she kept telling me she sold them all.
Quote:
My MJ Thriller was taken from me in the 2003 fires
I kept saying I was sure I saw them in her closet and she probably stored them in one of her sheds. Well after this weekend I found that she did sell them ... all but ONE! I found the 'Beat It' version and cant tell you how excited I was. Now I know there probably aren't that many, if any, Michael Jackson fans here or even think much of the 'doll', but this brings back so many memories and I'm just glad to have found at least one of them.
Another cool find that I knew she had but thought she may have sold all of them, was the 1983 Galoob Mr.T doll. I remember all the A-TEAM stuff I had growing up but like most stuff we had as kids, who knows what happened to it all.
It was fun finding these and brings back many memories. It's funny how a toy can bring a smile to your face
