I suppose if you just want a good looking representation to stand there and just be then a model does look better and fits the bill swell but a lot of collectors might prefer the tactile nature of the toy. I know they're a little more fragile, but I'm really not worried if one of them falls, they're all pretty durable. And the models you can just put back together if the arms fall out or something. Literally the only one I'm semi worried about is the Battle droid since he's all hard plastic and he's very thin, but other than that they could all take a fall.
