Regarding race changing characters I think it really depends on the character. Like Luke Cage would never make sense as a white guy and Steve Rogers makes a lot more sense as white than anything else given when he comes from. Nova on the other hand could be made black since him being white was never a main factor. The Maximoff twins come from a fake place in Eastern Europe (essentially they're Romanian) so them not being white would be weird, Black Panther is from an African country so him not being black would be weird. One thing's for sure, if words aren't chosen carefully then everyone thinks you're being racist.
