I mean really what use was the ring of pouches around the thigh on every superhero? I love the Knightfall Batman suit Jean-Paul wore but the thigh pouches (to me anyway) seemed so unnecessary. Same with Jim Lee's Cyclops uniform. Don't get me wrong Jim Lee's Cyclops is my 2nd favorite of all time after the Whedon/Cassidy uniform but so...many...pouches.

Yup was a Liefeld thing, and agree those were the days when you had all the great artists and the writing was superb....
