While the first five will always be "the originals," it's Claremont/Byrne's Uncanny team that drives that idea of what X-Men is home.
For me, I'm not too picky with exact favourites, because you'll always be disappointed that they're not being utilised/used enough. I just try and enjoy who's on what team and find favourites in that particular series. The best thing about X-Comics is that anyone is always someone's favourite!
