Ha! Ha! I don't particularly like them, but I have a friend that keeps giving them to me as gifts. He comes over to my house fairly often too, so I leave them out on display so I don't hurt his feelings.
They are easy to find and it seems like it would be easy to complete a small collection. I've been to some stores where it looks like they have full sets of the Next Generation crew from Star Trek and the entire Jim Lee era X-Men lineup for instance. There aren't many toy lines where you can complete a team in one shot. Plus, they're relatively inexpensive. If they did actually look like the actors they were based on, Funko would have to pay for likeness rights and the figures would be a lot more expensive. Also, they probably wouldn't have nearly as many licenses as they do if they actually looked like the actors they were based on.
I personally don't get the attraction, but more power to you if you are into them.
