Then I say to myself "if I stick with 6" then I can't get the 7th Sister or the new Maul 3.75 inch." It seems that Hasbro releases more and a greater variety of figures for the 3.75" line but they just feel so small to me when I look at them.
The facial details are almost the same per line. The 6" figures a bigger but there is no extra detail to really kick it into actually looking like the actor/actress. I think one of the best 6" head sculpts is old Han but even that one doesn't have every single feature nailed, it's Hasbro so we're not going to see like NECA level face sculpting. Characters with helmets though and aliens are another matter. The 6" helmet-heads and aliens are remarkably well done in my opinion. I feel like no 3.75" figure will ever quite match the 6" Stormtrooper, TIE pilot, Boba Fett, Bossk, etc. With the bigger scale and it being a non-face they really do nail a lot of the smaller finer details that just wouldn't happen on the smaller scale. The bodies will just tend to look better on the 6" toys regardless of their head because like I said they're bigger so more fine details find their way in. For what it's worth the accessories also look a lot better in the 6" line but that's just gravy. However character variety will always swing in the 3.75" line's favor since they release more than just four new figures at a time.

As is their nature, when a scale loses its flash and luster (and most importantly strong sales numbers) it fades into a much smaller role while the other sized line resurfaces. Much to the collecting community's mixed reception as some rejoice and others sulk.
