Hey all!
Well, it's been awhile but I just finished up my latest project, a TIE interceptor. These are just some quickie phone pics, hopefully I'll have time to do some lit ones later. These are a bit washed out, and a lot of the detail painting is lost, but oh well, you get the idea.
Did the usual greeblie additions, but really tried to push myself with the lighting. I cobbled together a custom light panel for the sides of the cockpit, and ran a dual-voltage system into a custom battery pack with a nifty angel-eye switch. Then lots of FO.
I tried to do some engine detail, not super happy with it, but I guess it's ok. The base is made from sanded poplar.
Pretty pleased with the way it turned out, but as with all projects I learned a lot and would do a few things differently. I'll tinker on it a little more, but I really need to finish my other AT-AT, and am trying to decide if i want to start an X-Wing or Slave-1.
I will say this, each is a total learning experience, and having ordered an Arduino set, I'm starting to learn how to install servos and sensors. I have some cool ideas
