I think the legs and maybe the head are the only parts of the body they're keeping from before (ignoring armor), the chest and arms are clearly new. What I meant when I said "their own bodies" was that the predators in AVP had a drastically different approach to the way their bodies looked. The original predators were clearly strong with developed musculature but they also had generally smooth contours that gave them a fitting acrobatic vibe so it looked right when you saw them jumping, climbing, and crawling around their environments. The AVP predators are just bulging muscles, they lack that finesse the originals had. So if you took an AVP body and armored it up as the Jungle Hunter it wouldn't look right besides being inaccurate to the film.
