Posing them? Where, say, blood splatter on a figure is present, I can't have it not line up! Same with netting or whatever. I've always been able to find a way of posing the figure that still keeps me happy without doing that. And I put an embarrassing amount of time into that lol.
I'm not a guy who's into art or whatever, but I could look at NECA's stuff all day.
I am definitely an opener. There are almost no figures I consider truly appreciable if they're still in the package. Even though over half of my predators are roughly in variations of the same standing pose I'm gonna keep opening the new ones so they too can stand around. Blood splattering is at the bottom of my consistency checklist compared to skin patterns. The upcoming Clan Leader has a distinct marking on his chest so I already know he's just gonna be standing upright on the shelf.
I consider NECA's figures art. Not just NECA but any company that puts a high level of detail and appreciation into their figures. As in the regular art world some pieces are much easier to appreciate than others but you can tell when work and effort were put into a figure even if all the figure does is look good.
