Even though the battles may not play out in the canon fashion Disney and Star Wars have said that the content is canon (weapons, planets, races, etc.) so Shadow Troopers are canon again and look like they pretty much always did but with the Imperial symbol emblazoned on their chest like a badge. These new guys in Rogue One look like maybe the Imperial black ops specialist guys, just a guess obviously.

oh ok i gotcha! guess we'll have to wait and see in december! i kinda wish i jumped on those 6" black series shadow troopers from Target a while back, but i just didnt want to pay that much for them tbh ya know....especially when i just wanted the speeder bike and scout mostly! heh
