Well that's... disapointing. While I think the Multiverse figures are great for what they are and cost... there's no defending the choice to make the bat demon statue thing into a figure. Thanks for making my choice to not bild the grapnel gun easier Mattel.
That said... I think it's actually a good looking figure. The wings could be better and the expression is boring, but the detailing on it is actually really good. If this was a seperate thing from the C&C stuff, like a store exclusive or something, I would seriously consider getting it. As-is, I'll wait till it's on a severe clearance before thinking about it.

Mattel's excuse for not making a movie Doomsday is that WB didn't get the design to them in-time for them to develop one. I honestly imagine that was part of it, but I imagine the fact that they would need to create a whole new sculpt for him was a bigger factor.
Honestly, I think our best bet for a film Doomsday is DCC's line of film figures. If it takes off, and stuff like their Icons Darkseid sell well, I could see them doing some of the larger film characters. Also, while not nearly as big, they're actually making the larger Kryptonian from Man of Steel, and he had a bit part, so who knows who all they'll consider doing in the future.

Isn't there a bald inmate Lex floating somehwere that we haven't seen represented?
We have, he's in the next set of "Pop Culture" Multiverse figures. Oddly enough, he's one of the figures needed to complete the n52 comics Doomsday they're doing this year.
As for Mattel doing another BvS set of figures with a Doomsday C&C, I honestly doubt they will. Would be cool, but with two more C&C's already in the works for this year, I don't think we'll see another one till next year's line for the Wonder Woman movie. Especially with them putting prosoner Lex in with the comics and TV stuff.
