I have been lurking mainly due to the terribleness of what's in store. I feel like Hasbro is trying so hard to kill our line and will likely succeed soon. You all have seen the current comic packs warming and the new ones will sit for sure. Guarantee we hear something like "the stores asked us to sell one sized Legends figure to avoid confusion over reordering, and would prefer 6" due to the current sales numbers" which are skewed due to terrible distribution of Marvel Infinite and 3.75" Legends.
I paid $45 for Watcher, loose at a local peddlers mall, and he just so happens to be in this pic
As you can see the DIO is coming along so I'm not abandoning ship yet, but man I wish we got something better.
Kernel man I know you hate Legends, but honestly they are reproductions of Vonner's work. The Jim Lee Cyclops/Daredevil is the best articulated figure in my opinion and most legends are scaled up versions of those. That being said Legends are too big I want to display my army of figures and only 3.75" makes that possible.
I agree with everything you said EXCEPT I don't hate legends lol. I've tried to get into them but I just don't get the same kick out of them as the 3.75" ones... Wish I knew why. I actually pick up an occasional 6" figure as they can usually be had for cheaper than the 1/18 scale. I've found a ton of legends and other 6" lines at discount stores and have been known to snag one here and there.. I just wish the little guys got the same love. I hate buying a $20 figure for my kids... Just seems like way too much dough.
As for the confusion... I saw this sign at TRU today:
