I doubt Playmates wants to work anything out. I checked their site and Ninja Turtles is the only brand they currently have product for on store shelves. They have a couple more licenses but there's no product for those two at the moment. Since they've been losing licenses for several years now, I'd guess that they're nearing the end and death gripping the TMNT license for as long as they can to keep the doors open. The arcade turtles may be Neca's way of showing that they have awesome product ready but they are just waiting for something to change in the near future that would allow a retail release to happen. I'm not suggesting that Neca will take Playmates' place in the toy aisle but if things were to change then they could work something out like DST did for Marvel Select.
