I believe with the Asian companies like Bandai's SH or Figma they also already know they have a huge market on their turf so there's no pressure or incentive to expand given, what for them would be, exportation costs. It seems the idea is they're doing well at home so why bother expanding? It's not like they've come out and said as much but there is logic to my thoughts on this.
