There's no way to declare a character as being absolutely heterosexual. The reason we have so many straight or straight by default characters is because of the censorship of the comics code(amongst other things). Yet a lot of the people who complain about the idea of them updating characters that were in some cases always intended to be bisexual(Wolverine, Storm, Hercules come to mind) are often the ones that complain about censorship in other avenues.
And yes, the fact that there's more outrage over the idea of a Bi Steve Rogers than a Nazi version of an superpowered Irish Immigrant created by Jewish authors and a Jewish scientist is absolutely poisonous.
I'm mostly against it because it would be making an unnecessary change to a well established character to be all "PC" and "progressive," when, again, we don't NEED the change. It's like an article I read that said that Doctor Who NEEDS a female Doctor to continue. No, a female Doctor would make an interesting change, but it's not NEEDED. Now, I don't have anything against gay characters if they're a character first, and their sexuality is just a thing that exists(Jack Harkness, that Curtis guy on Arrow), but if there's no proper reason to make Cap gay, why do we need to make him gay?
Anyway, back on topic, I saw that Chefatron got wave 3, so hopefully other places will get it soon.
