Marvel really needs this film to be outstanding to rejuvenate Thor's franchise. IMO, the Thor franchise has been the weakest link in the MCU. The Iron Man franchise quite literally crafted and structured the MCU. The torch was then passed to the Captain America franchise which has given the MCU some of its bigger hits, Winter Soldier and Civil War. Hopefully Ragnarok step it up, it has so much potential to be the next MCU game changer.
