I'd personally consider that a bad thing, as BAFs would require us to buy every single figure whether we like it or not in order to get the BAF. I prefer the option to get the figures that I actually WANT, not the ones I need for the BAF. All you get from BAFs most of the time is a load of figures that you don't want and the companies get your money in a quite frankly scummy way.
Don't get me wrong, in the days that it started with Toy Biz, it was tolerable since they didn't just use it to get their unwanted figures off the pegs so you could have the BAF you wanted, but nowadays, you get things like Mattel releasing the EXACT SAME Batman figure that nobody ever liked, but will have to buy for the BAF piece. Or basically every Hasbro Legends wave excluding the Spider-man waves, where only about 3-4 of the figures are worthy of your shelves, and the rest are just space fillers.
Sorry, I'm kinda ranting here, but I just do not think BAFs, in their modern form, are a good thing.
