customizing does fill the void that buying and collecting somewhat leave out, your more interactive and take pride not only in your own work but the figure over all when you customize it weather it be simple from changing accessories or swapping heads, or more complex like sculpting and paint apps, but this can help fill the void of a full collection by making it more complete with dream figures hasbro or whoever refuse to make. Hell Jin saotome is a prime example he makes figures better then what you buy in a store and most of it is simple techniques (not to knock his work) and most of it is stuff toy companies should already impliment but are 2 lazy/cheap to do so, like every Iron Man figure should have lights in the eyes, chest and hands and maybe feet, they're gonna give battery companies more buissness, But if you collect and feel like there's nothing more to collect, then either start fresh and jump on a new wave or figure or upgrade the quality of stuff, such as autographs, movie props, statues, busts etc happy collecting
