Anyway, I finished reading Days of Future Past and I highly enjoyed it. I thought the Dante's Inferno story was quite intriguing as was the two parter with Wolverine and the Alpha Flight. Of course, I'm not a fan of Alpha Flight at all, so those were also the weakest of the stories in the book to me. I did love the two issues the book was titled after though. This was my first time ever reading those stories as I've only seen it in adaptation form with the X-Men cartoons and of course, the movie. Nice to finally read the original comic. And the last story with Kitty fighting some demon was confusing, yet enjoyable.

Man, these two books now have me wanting to read more. Have they collected the next batch of stories that come after this at all? If not, I'm probably going to get Fall of the Mutants next.

Oh, and I just ordered the 5 DVDs of the 90s cartoon off Amazon with some money I just made fro selling off some DCU stuff.
I know UXM From The Ashes collects issues 168-176 which has some great stuff, but if you skipped that you'd be missing both the X-Men's fight with the Shi'ar, issues 154-158 and one of the best stories aside from The Phoenix Saga and DOFP, the Brood Saga, issues 163-167. I know the Brood Saga was collected at one point but I'm not sure about the issues between DOFP and the Brood Saga. Also The Gift collects 189-198, Ghosts collects 199-209, and The Mutant Massacre (the first X-line crossover though it does pull some other issues) collects 210-214 and a whole bunch of other books, quality of which varies greatly.
I also recommend just trying to track down the Masterworks collections, though they can get expensive. That will get the you through From The Ashes material at very least.

After Fall Of The Mutants unfortunately the trade collections drop significantly, to mainly entail just the crossovers and events. But as Claremont ended his first and best run with issue 280, it really doesn't matter as much.
