Actually buying figures solely because I like the design is how I fell in love with Marvel in the first place. I remember in 2nd grade my friend had the old Deadpool figure with the spring out dagger and I instantly thought it was the coolest Ninja Spider-Man I'd ever seen. In fact Deadpool was probably the first figure I ever hunted cause he was impossible to find back then. I finally found one at a comic shop when I was 8 or so and he was $30 back then. I had to sacrifice a whole month worth of allowence at the time to get him and the guy knocked it down to $20 but still I remember my dad being flabbergasted that an action figure could be so expensive.

That's exactly how I am I don't think I ever bought a full wave. Just buy the characters i like.
