Thanks man! This one was a literal ***** to work on. I started off trying to do the Marvel Now version (a look that I actually like very much, because as you said...it's very ninja like) and I couldn't figure out just what exactly the pattern was on her legs (it seems to change depending on the artist.) Then...I couldn't get the X symbol across her chest to come out clean no matter how hard I tried. Either my paints would run, or would be uneven or too thick, and as I mentioned, neither my hands nor my brushes could keep the lines clean or straight, which resulted in me having to repaint the torso over and over again.

On top of that, I had to separate the upper torso from the bottom one in order to get the belt on, and afterwards, I could not get the damn thing to re-connect and stay put no matter how much heat I used. Of course, this ended up causing a chain reaction of paint rub which resulted in having to repaint yet again and well...you get the picture. I wanted to throw her at the wall on a couple of occasions. Thankfully the clear coat I used on her covers up some of the differences in texture that were noticeable due to the paints I was using (I mostly use flats, as semi-gloss paints tend to come out too shiny and have a tacky feeling to them when they dry, while gloss paints can be a nightmare to work with.)

In the end, I decided on combining elements from her Marvel Now costume (the black suit, grey fingered gloves and grey soled shoes) and some elements of her 90's costume (the leg and arm straps, along with the pink belt.) I debated on painting a grey swimsuit in homage similar to my recent Rogue in homage to those Jim Lee years, but that grey paint was one of the ones that was giving me the most difficulty, so I opted to the K.I.S.S. principle on that one. Keep it simple stupid...

While I know the Jim Lee swimsuit version will be the one everyone will want (and honestly, I wouldn't mind it either) but when Hasbro eventually comes around to give us Betsy again, I really wouldn't mind if we get something along these lines (image taken from a Google search, and I believe is fan made interpretation of her Now costume.) Especially if they did the soles of her boots just like this on a newly sculpted foot...
