Based on yes, but a faithful representation of the actual suit from the movie? Absolutely not.
And this wouldn’t be a problem if they wouldn’t advertise it as the Godzilla from this specific movie and if they wouldn’t have access to material straight from Toho. But both are the case, so...
Also this is NECA, the company which can apparently step into a time machine, kidnap the Predators from the movie sets, blast them with a shrink-ray and use dark magic to turn them into hundreds of plastic figures. Meaning that we both know they can do much better. Hell, even the past Godzilla figures are all miles ahead of this one as far as accuracy to the source material is concerned.

It really sucks that Toho only allows NECA to do Godzilla himself. An affordable King Ghidorah action figure with a considerable size would be super awesome. Even better if it would be the Showa version.
