Finally got a chance to open up Bat-Bale...here's a couple of thoughts in case any of you were wondering...

  • Cape is way better done than the Keaton Batman, and is a thicker and nicer material overall. It has some weight to it on the sides thanks to the seams, and hangs well off of his shoulders.

  • There is a small amount of glue on the figure's back that holds the cape to the cowl, but can be easily freed and while there is some white glue residue under the cape on my figure's back, it isn't noticeable as the cape covers it.

  • Head can turn and tilt. Yay!

  • Body construction is way better and a bit more sturdy than the Keaton Batman with a few notable exceptions. I was able to bend the arms at the elbows and knees with no problems, as well as pose the figure at the hips as well without fear of snapping anything off. Figure can do the splits just like the 1/4 scale, offering up some nice side kicking poses for you ACBA types.

  • The ball jointed shoulders however are another issue altogether, and scare me, as they are EXTREMELY tight. While I have full rotation, there is no way I am going to even attempt to swivel them outward without giving him a hot bath first.

  • Belt is glued to the figure curiously, and on mine, it's off center with the Batsuit's abdomen/torso just ever so slightly, but is noticeable. I might try and cut the belt free and reglue.

  • Speaking of the torso, the abdomen on mine is off center from the hips, but doesn't swivel. I'm wondering if this is because there is an actual joint there that has been glued accidentally due to the belt, or if this is simply how the figure was designed. The upper torso swivels just fine.

  • Interchangeable hands have Marvel Legends styled wrist swivels now as opposed to the old fashioned NECA ball joints, but are super tight as well. I'd highly recommend heating up before attempting to move those wrist swivels. They pop on and off easy enough though.

  • Ankle joints have rocker pivot thanks to a ball joints in them, but again, super tight. Handle with care.

EDIT: So there is articulation at the waist as well as the torso. A little bit of the glue from the belt spilt over onto the waist pivot, which I was able to free up with some careful manipulation. Freeing this joint also helped with the off center issue I was having with the belt.
