So when retail looks at their stock, they see they have 20 figures of the SPD variety, regardless of if it's the Sandman wave or the Absorbing Man wave (which is what is currently shelfwarming in my area.) As of right now, the stores should not have any or very very few GOG (Guardians) wave on the shelfs, freeing up their orders for waves of those. This is why the Dr. Strange and X-Men wave (minus Wolverine and Deadpool) were fairly easy to find, there was nothing noted on the shelves for their brands.

I would be more worried about finding waves 2 and 3 of GOTG2 than this first one. You can expect the same scenario to happen with the Thor wave(2).

Also so cool that the X-Men wave is coming up for preorder on sites now. I am worried it will be hard to find at retail, given we have XMN brand on the shelves, but as I'm totally going to order that online, it's not so much a concern for me but for those who dont' order online.
Right I see what you mean exactly. Usually Wave 1 will make it to retail. Wave 2 and on can be harder to find I think that was the case for me like finding Scarlet Witch from Civil War. And also it's always the dilemma preorder or find at retail at least I know for this first wave it'll be easier to find.

Nova was hard to find last time for the first movie wave, also agree about Angela. I know she sold out on preorder, along with Darkhawk and Yondu at BBTS. Also since this is Yondu's first figure and it does look badass.

About Pegwarmers I know even last time I had a shot of finding Star Lord, Drax and Iron Man fro the first movie. Which I predicted would be like the same for this movie. The fact Star Lord double packed also means obviously finding it at retail and the odds are good in that regard. Also Drax. Vance Astro Major Victory I'm actually familiar with being in Guardians 3000. But yeah I agree all that matters is being able to find it, when as mentioned like the upcoming X-Men wave might be harder to find because there's already an X-Men line at stores of course that was pretty rare for me to see in stores too, along with the Sandman wave. I'll be checking Target, TRU this weekend and see what I find

Of all of the original Guardians he is definitely the most used and most well known. He is also technically over 1000 years old in this version as he is the same Marvel Boy/Justice Vance Astro from New Warriors and The Avengers.

The original Guardians have been gaining a little traction lately so I would expect we might see a few more of them. Hasbro already did a comic version of Yondu for their 3.5 line. Charlie 27 could be pieced together from mostly Hulk parts so he is an easy addition.
Yeah! I am familiar with Major Victory! He was in Guardians 3000. I thought it always cool he was being made. I wish I could have responded to that person but I wasn't able to log in where the discussion is being made. And awesome! I'd love to see more of that too!
