Check out what I got today:
Good god this Vader is friggin awesome. In fact, I think he is a superior figure to the Figuarts. Not only is he the right height, but the stitching in the arms and legs are impressive. I love it. The head looks like it could be a tad big, but if I recall, it is accurate to the movie. Also, to my surprise, I don't have the cloth cape. In fact, I down right adore it. This is the first time I've ever found a cloth cape to kick ass. It also helps that it doesn't feel like it is made of some cheap material and it isn't shreddeing at all. My only two minor complaints are the lack of double jointed elbows (seriously, why is this even a thing with this line?) and the hook on the belt is too flimsy/rubbery to hold the lightsaber.
Now the display piece is crap. First off, the cardboard background doesn't lock into anything, so the folds make it impossible to even look remotely good. It also doesn't help that the thing is too big to be placed in my Detolf, but at least the base pieces with the peg holes will work well. No matter what though, this thing was an after thought and is not worth the additional $20 price tag.
Anyway, lots of comparison pics and some other fun stuff below.
