So this dude arrived today:
He's cool. I wish I could saw he totally blew me away and makes me want to get every figure I have skipped so far, but I can't. His size is great as he is bigger like Swamp Thing should be, but now that I have him in hand I do have to say he looks way too clean to be a swamp monster. Also, he is skinnier than he should be. I know he looked it from the shots, but since he was from the original design (not the House short), the only thing it looked like he was lacking was brown paint for the branches. His torso is indeed a tad too skinny, especially in the shoulders and thighs. However, I could easily overlook that if they bothered to paint the god damn branches, but they didn't so I won't. Also, his head still doesn't have the range of motion necessary to give him the hunched over look he needs. What the hell has DC been doing with these figures over the last 14 months since they were revealed? It seems like they ignored every piece of criticism and feedback we gave them regardless of the delays.
The sad part is, despite the negatives, he might very well be the best damn Swamp Thing figure we have ever received. I'm glad I have him and he is far superior to the Mattel rubber dude, but a little bit of addtional effort would have made this figure true be the masterpiece it should have been.
Crannix, on the other hand, rocks. The sculpt is phenomenal and it is a shame they will never do anyone else be it Arcande, the Patchwork Man, or the Fluronic Man.
